What’s the best way to repair fiberglass blister/bubble in a spa?

Hi Guys,

I’ve noticed a blister/bubble about 2 inches in diameter with a hair-line crack in my spa. After draining the water, it seemed to retain some of it. What’s the best way of repairing this?

I’ve heard several different suggestions including:

- Carefully chiseling around the sides of the bubble, sanding it down, and using a waterproof adhesive (e.g. plast-aid) to cover it.

- Using a hair-dryer or other object of focused heat to make the bubble more mailable and reshape it.

Any thoughts?

I would sand it down and use Bondo or RAGE (walmart has them) to repair it, then use a waterproof coating to make it try to match the color of the spa again.
