What do you do when you come across someone who says their open-minded but fit the close-minded?
you will always find some that see only black and white and never see the gray that melds the two.
they can be swayed but only with absolute facts and then it seems to become their idea. but i always figured that i do not care who takes the credit as long as it gets out there.
the gray or middle area is where most of the truly open minded people come from and they are the ones that can see both sides of a situation. they are the true winners as they are able to use the facts from both sides to bring them to a joint answer.
these traits cannot be taught, the facts of them can be taught but the truly open minded are born that way. the hard core closed minded are also very structured in all aspects of their lives. they do not accept change easily and must be coaxed into buying a different brand of socks.
so if you want to get your point across to closed minded people, who by the way are the majority, you must always have facts at your fingertips and the vocabulary to use them. in other words you must become a hiney shiner.
